Teachers from the School for the Blind, Center for the Deaf, Stapledon School for the Mentally Retarded, Programme S.U.R.E., Penn Pratt Education Unit, and special education teachers from regular schools attended. The topic was literacy assessment and intervention for the child with special needs. The workshop was sponsored by the Ministry of Education in the Bahamas and by the Extraordinary Learning Foundation.
